About the Role
JOB TITLE: AAT Qualified Accountant
ROLE TYPE: Full Time, Permanent
LOCATION: Hertfordshire
HOURS/DAYS (per week): Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5pm (office based)
SALARY RANGE: £25,000 to £30,000 per annum (DOE)
NOTICE & PROBATION PERIODS: TBC
BENEFITS: 20 days annual leave, plus 8 bank holidays, and 3 days between Christmas and New Year. Study support will also be provided for those wishing to pursue further Accounting qualifications.
COMPANY CULTURE & SUMMARY:
My client is a Chartered Accounting Practice based in Hertfordshire, with over 75 years combined experience. Their clients are from a wide spectrum of industries, varying from sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. This Practice cater for all types of business and have a wide range of long standing clients, providing them with an excellent understanding and knowledge in an extensive variety of areas. They work closely with businesses and individual clients helping them with their day to day accounting needs, together with the other regulatory burdens and year-end compliance.
JOB ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to):
My client are looking for an AAT Qualified Accountant to join their growing firm. A suitable candidate will be looking for a role within a busy Accountancy Practice, where they will be working as part of a close-knit team, servicing a range of longstanding clients. Preferably, the successful person will be AAT qualified, and will have the option to pursue further qualifications if desired by the individual. Some of the duties and responsibilities are listed as below:
- Accounts preparation
- Submission of accounts to HMRC and companies house
- VAT return preparation and submission
- Payroll preparation
- CIS filing
- Corporation tax and personal tax preparation
- Bookkeeping - using various software to include Xero, QuickBooks, freeagent, etc
- Correspond with HMRC
- Set up new Companies and register PAYE + VAT schemes
- Various administrative duties
ANY SPECIFIC TRAINING/QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Strong numerical and analytical skills are essential with an eye for detail, and have the ability to multi-task a variety of responsibilities.
- Confident, polite, professional personality.
- AAT Qualified with previous Practice experience
- Use of QuickBooks and Xero is ideal
- Full UK Right to Work (no sponsorships)
