About the Role
JOB TITLE: Audit Senior
ROLE TYPE: Full time, permanent
LOCATION: Hertfordshire
HOURS/DAYS (per week): 5 days per week, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5.30pm (37.5 hours per week)
SALARY RANGE: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum (DOE)
NOTICE & PROBATION PERIODS: Tbc

JOB ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to):
My client are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Audit Senior to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing audit assignments, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting their clients in achieving their goals. Part-qualified candidates are also encouraged to apply. This position will allow the successful candidate to have a number of juniors reporting to them on each audit, but to begin with will have no line management duties. Eventually, the firm will look to hire a dedicated Audit Junior to also join the team. There are usually around 25 audits per year to be completed throughout all sectors - including turnovers of up to £75m.
- Plan, execute, and finalize audit assignments for a diverse range of clients.
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP/IFRS.
- Lead audit teams and supervise junior staff members, fostering their professional growth.
- Identify areas for improving client processes and provide recommendations.
- Liaise with clients to resolve queries and build strong working relationships.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting and audit regulations.
ANY SPECIFIC TRAINING/QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified, or equivalent.
- Proven experience in audit, including experience in managing audit assignments.
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and auditing practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
